Compassion walks the straightest lines,
but inconvenience blurs those signs.
Emotion bends direction's thought,
in tangled motives you've been caught.
Your conscience then becomes disturbed,
with evil's voices you're perturbed.
Such good intentions go amiss
and peace has fled with fate's dark kiss.
Confess to God you need His touch,
(No, you're not weak, you need faith's crutch)
We need connection, one on one,
Christ needed God, from day's first sun.
Dependence teaches us to swim,
from faith's deft touch -- compassion's win.
You'll hear God's voice "Well done, my son,
you've walked by faith, my praise you've won."

Author Notes
Psalm 103 â??Merciful and gracious is the Lord, slow to and anger and abounding in kindness, not according to our sins does He deal with us, nor does He require according to our sins.â??
God's touch is like none other, it melts hearts made of tungsten, it reduces the toughest folk to wells of tears, and convicts the most unrepentant, and drives them to their knees, I know what it's like. But He never bulldozes anyone, nor will He coerce or manipulate. how He does that I have no idea, but I do know He loves all, sin or no.
Thanks for reading. Roy Owen.
