Lonely Poem

Journey On

Life is busy, yes it is
early morning rising,
meditation, coffee or sometimes
lemon tea.
Though lockdown trundles on
texts n emails, calls n zoom keep
life's wheels grinding along.
A walk in the park
with our pesky cavalier
who snorts and sniffs and poos.
Evening shadows lengthen.
It's then my heart reminds me that
you are not here, as you once were, to share
the journey
