Birth, life, death

Passing Through

by JLR

My birth came at the dawn of day,
molded in clay
laid in a crib
glib in my bib.

My life came at the turn of stars
moons spin round Mars
red suns did set
an old man's debts.

Yet bye, and bye my death unsought,
and worn, torn naught
yet cracks and strains...
no heavy chains!
