Vines are entwined 
through the jungle’s thick edge.
In a primeval world, I sit on a ledge
and dangle my feet, 
listening to the rain beat.

In a thunderous bellow, 
hear the waterfall tumble.
My mood is mellow, 
my feelings are humble.

As if in a dream, 
mist rises like steam ~
the play of light 
makes a beautiful sight.
I drop my sarong 
to the sound of bird song
and slip into the pool, 
sparkling green as a jewel.
