Life is a GIFT

by Dick Waters

I didn't have a choice at life.

L ittle did I know about their lives and love.
O nly later did I learn, my father left when I was born.
V ictimized, but I didn't know he was missing.
E very day, enjoying my childhood.

L ucky ME to have a life.
I owe him my life.
F or without him...I wouldn't be here.
E ventually, I had a new Dad!

D ad was a man's man, and made me one too.
O nly later did I learn my biological father was gay!
N ote to ME - now I know why my Dad was tough on ME.
T hings in life, work out the way they are supposed to!

Y ou owe your parents your life.
O nly you can thank them for that gift of life.
U se your gift, and don't miss passing on the gift of life!
