"Don't Forget to Change Your Underwear!"

Mama's sayin's they were funny
Mama's sayin's they were wise
Some made you wonder what she meant
And others roll your eyes
But my favorite one that I recall
When we went anywhere was...
"Don't forget to change your Underwear!"

She would say it with conviction
For she meant each word she said
Every morning when she'd wake us up
And roll us out of bed
"The early bird catches the worm,"
She'd chuckle, then declare, “Now…
Don’t forget to change your underwear!”

“Underwear was meant for changin'
You must do it every day…
Cleanliness is next to Godliness”
We'd hear our Mama say…
“You may forget to shine your shoes
Or even comb your hair, but…

NEVER-EVER do forget to change your underwear!”
