One of the deadly sins

Wrath Unleashed

by Boogienights

Deadly Sins Contest Winner
The sin of wrath is prevalent,
it is practiced everyday.
Every time we see the news,
seems like someone has to pay.
Angry city rioters,
set fires, wreck others dreams.
Innocent business owners,
for past wrongs, must pay it seems.

Hatred spreads like a disease,
there are many who don't know,
what they're even protesting.
Yet, anger they freely show.
Reparations, they declare,
is the payback that they need.
Never caring who they hurt,
all are guilty, they believe.
Mayors, Governors, don't speak.
American cities burn.
There's politics at play here,
when will people ever learn?
Wrathful anger just destroys,
when it's over what's left then?
Ruins of what once was home,

that won't be the same again.

We're all in this together,
people white, black, brown, cops too.
Defund police? Bad idea.
They're out there protecting you.
Wrath hurts you and hurts others,
with it we can never win.
Common sense must take control,
get free of this deadly sin.
