Feast of the Gods

by DragonSkulls

Upon the beach like many times before,
Poseidon counts the minutes 'neath the sun.
While sipping margaritas by the shore,
the timing of the outcome had begun.

With trident anchored deep within the sand,
he saw the younger man come into view.
He held Poseidon's pizza in his hand.
"Your total comes to fifteen ninety-two."

But then the god of oceans roared, "It's free!
Your thirty-minutes passed, you took too long."
The man dared mock the ruler of the sea,
"Hey, dolphin freak, I think your sundial's wrong."

A shark leapt up and snatched the man away.
"And there's your tip," he heard Poseidon say.
