I am not one for a bike ride
But I enjoy a long stride
I choose to move slow
Sort of go with the flow

It's much easier to watch
The sway of a swatch
Of wild flowers or grass
And see the deer pass

It's easier to hear the buzz of bees
and cicada; the breeze in the trees.
The squeal of an angry squirrel's wrath
And the skitter of chipmunks in my path

It's easier to spy the birds fly
And try to find where frogs hide
If you take things at a slower pace
You can better enjoy the beauty of the place.
