Finding the courage to rise.

I Am Strength

Strength

I am frail and weak
Fatigued and exhausted
Lost the light in my eye
When my mind was assaulted

I've been broken and bruised
Shattered to pieces
Hiding in the darkness
unable to breath

My heart breaks
My tears escape
I recall the words that calm my mind
Stable and firm I repeat the line:

"You are never given more than you can handle."

I rise to meet the coming day
Somewhat scared
Somewhat frightened
Still wanting to run away

Tough and hard
Stable and firm
Determination
Dedication

Each time I fall I get up
Always forward I never stop
I face the day
Regardless of what's in my way

Strength
