One can see much beauty early in the morning.

Early Spring Morning

by HarryT

No more whipping winds whirling cold
No more blizzards of swirling snow
Golden sunrises bring soft morning glow
Rivers inhibited by ice now in free flow

Slippery sidewalks gone; black ice vanished
Back-breaking shoveling fortunately banished
Grasses turning from brown to emerald green
Flirting male birds singing hopeful spring dreams

Branches awakening, bulbs breaking ground
Gardens ready to bloom all around our town
Grey squirrels scamper from high winter nests
Baby rabbits emerge to become garden pests

For all of God’s creations tis a time of
growing abundance and promising rebirth
