Man will dream...

by royowen

Some men may dream of life supreme,
and plot its course with plans and scheme.
But yet these can't possess a soul.
no source, or life's magnetic pole.

If comfort is man's source, their dream,
could they mount a candle beam?
They build a barn to hold more wheat,
and then death calls, fate's final seat.

So troubled are man's hope-filled sight,
they centre on self's hapless flight
Yet if that road was paved with trust,
it may have reaped the warm wind's gust.

The quill will write on tawny page,
records the actors on life's stage.
It holds no judgement, biased thought,
just writes what's seen, each action caught.

And yet Christ's blood can hide the stain,
and right all wrong, and blot all blame.
How many men can hide from eyes
that see all sin, deceit, and lies.

It's God who wants our faith and trust,
to not work hard and tame life's lust.
For nothing else can win God's heart,
devotion, faith, that's where trust starts

There's one thing that no pandemic, nor despotic government, one's foes and lawless actions, they can't stop a man from dreaming. So I don't really care who rules, who steal or riots, or loots, I still follow my freedom of thought and worship. God doesn't want us to try harder, He only wants us to trust deeper.
Hebrews 13 :5 "I will never leave nor forsake you."
