Forest Walk

Quiet Contest Winner 
Morning walk with my dog
Silver sunrise highlights
Leafy mosaics along a
Gravelly woodland path
Despite misty raindrops
Tiptoeing among dewy
Clouds of billowing fog
We two begin our trek
Among verdant evergreens
Spreading aromatic fragrance
As we walk along the forest
Floor woven with tree roots
We both relish the ancient soul
Pulsing amidst soundless quiet
