Vanished

by RodG

Recently my husband and I argued about everything. Like how to celebrate our tenth anniversary? I wanted to ski at Tahoe, whereas Richard begged to see Savid Silvervale in Vegas.

"He's the best magician I've ever seen. And you can spend all day in Wynne's shops."

Since I loved shopping more than anything, at midnight we were watching Silvervale.

When he asked for a volunteer, Richard rushed up to be covered by a cloth. Moments later he vanished.

"Where is he?" I screamed.

"Gone!" .

"Bring him back."

"I can't," whispered the magician.

"Why?"

"Because he won't come back to you."
