Wisconsin in Late Fall

by HarryT

Rondel Poetry Contest Winner
Why do we go to Wisconsin in late fall?
Some people just don’t understand
After most are gone, we love the serene northland
Especially falling leaves like mobiles by Chagall

Love to listen to winter Cadinal's  call
Enjoy passing fields of harvested farmland
Why do we go to Wisconsin in late fall?
Some people just don’t understand

Beautiful orange sky nearing nightfall
Wisconsin in late autumn our fairyland
We walk the lakeshore hand in hand
Whirling leaves in cold winds is best time of all
Why do we go to Wisconsin in late fall?
