Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
thoughts

Manatees and Dolphins

by mermaids

in my dreams
or on the internet,
manatees and dolphins
take me to warmth
from cold New England
waters

staying put,
until this pandemic
ceases,
creatures of the deep
swim in spirit all
around me

I patiently wait for
a return to
a world free
from an invisible enemy
as I watch my sea-friends
play
in a happier time
