As a child Musk
was bullied hard
but he found solace
reading from dawn to dusk.

By age twelve he'd learnt to programme
and created his own video game
then sold the code for half a grand.

At 17 he left Pretoria his home town;
went to Canada where he met his future wife
and won a scholarship which took him
to America, the land of opportunity.

With two degrees, he began his quest
to make Earth a healthier place for humanity.

In two decades he built a series of electric cars
one even affordable for the mass and a reusable
rocket that by 2022 will take us to Mars.

Idolised by many, despised by some;
no matter which side you're on
one can't deny that the guy
has the power to inspire.
