These Eight Legs of Mine

by Y. M. Roger

These eight legs of mine,
They never need shoes –
And each one works fine
Don’t ask me to choose…

And, oh, they can dance,
These eight legs of mine –
I whirl and I prance
In excellent time…

Just give me a sign,
They’ll weave up a storm –
These eight legs of mine
Do square or free form…

And if you want speed,
Please let me opine –
They’ve raced centipedes,
These eight legs of mine…

These eight legs of mine
Are talented, yes?
Bet you wish you could find
Such limbs to impress!
