This work has reached the exceptional level
Life can be a bit of nonsense.

by A. Willow Bends

The coffee cup will often disappear
even when I'm the only one here.
One of the socks take off in flight,
but pitch it, the other, there now in plain sight.
Cats may have a clean litter pan,
but may sneak off to poo wherever they can.
In the grocery store, when we look at our worst,
why do we bump into that man we loved first?
Trip and fall down, no matter knees raw
first glance about to see if THEY saw.
"Where are my glasses?" I ask filled with dread.
My sons reply laughing, "Propped up on your head!"
Fall asleep reading an eight hundred page book.
Don't mark the spot as
it's SO much fun to look -
where you stopped!

All nonsense! I tell you,
that dress on the rack
hangs on you at home like an old burlap sack!

Such is life, little mysteries,
the stressors, the strain!
It's nonsense, I repeat,
but part of the game . . . of life.
Just play along!
