When One Wants It And The Other Doesn't

Do You Believe Me Now

by Brett Matthew West

The judge made it final today
I watched you walk away
Your silence spoke the word goodbye
A million tears fell from my eyes

Wondered do you believe me now
I'll carry on somehow
My shattered heart can't take the pain
I will never hold you again

Many thoughts, they raced through my mind
The one left here behind
Memories, they washed over me
Of the time when our love was free

I don't know why you would cross the line
Or what you seek to find
I know I'm nothing without you
Can't believe we are really through

You said you lost your wedding band
When was it on your hand
There's something you weren't telling me
Love, it is such a mystery

What's in those boxes by the door
Like me, you want no more
When strong foundations can't be found
Love's walls will all come crashing down
