Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Time waits for nobody

Getting Old

I feel more tired at close of day,
as I move through life's destiny.
My time is soon, I cannot stay,
eternity is calling me.

I feel less care for wealth or gold
and feel more love for all mankind.
My search is for the days of old,
with people and their caring mind.

I yearn much for my friends of youth,
have visions of those loved, now dead.
My search is for eternal truth,
shared by many, now gone ahead.

I mix my laughter with my tears,
as I move forward, day by day;
Beset with many doubts and fears,
Lord, send solace, for this I pray.

I am 95 years old and very thankful for all that was good
and that which was not.I shall continue writing, as long
as I can.Thank you for your many comments, they give
