The Blue Ridge

A man needs not to say mountains
when one utters the words, Blue Ridge
with those, not so, crystal clear views
atop western NC mountains.

when your eye's see smokey terrain
A man needs not to say mountains,
covered with ash, poplar, hemlock,
maple, birch, laurel ... some pine too,

Standing in awe of the wonder
of a mighty Creator such
A man needs not to say mountains,
unmistakenly artistic.

Atop western NC mountains
time does slow to a calmer pace
you do strain to hear God's whisper!
A man needs not to say mountains.
