A Father's Love

by January L'Angelle

All the love I have is
Because he is my father and I
Could not be more proud.
Divine intervention united us,
Everything was as God planned.
For this amazing man adopted me and
Gave me a home.
He held me
In his arms
Joyfully and
Kissed my
Little hands as I prayed:
My Lord,
Never take me from my father,
Or from you the Divine Father,
Quietly, I’d lie down to
Rest at night and
This incredible man taught me not to get
Upset and to keep a
Warm heart,
X-ing out all negativity.
Yes, my dad passed that
Zeal for the Lord, down to me.

Thank you to my father who is now into his 90's and as wonderful as ever! May God watch over him and protect him. Amen.
