Acrostic Poem

Disabilities are Speechless

by Wils

Acrostic Poetry Contest Winner
Desperate to fill the ability void

I struggle each day through this fast moving world

Small steps taken forward, larger ones back

Attacks of violent frustration are hurled

Being able to be understood

Is one of the things I want for myself

Living a life through a speaking device

I leave my voice nightly, alone on a shelf

Try as I might to improve what I do

It's a fight that I know never will end

Enter each day with a new, hopeful look

Surely today understanding will blend

Writing Prompt
Write an acrostic poem. Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title. See an example in the announcement.
