Join the righteous
Days of Creation
Stepping into God's studio
I noticed Him scratching His head
What's up, big "G", wadda you know?
He ignored me but drew instead
His drafting board was a blank page
Matter of fact, it was all black
"Let There be light!" would set the stage
Our universe still had a lack
"Pretty empty" I would remark
We need something to create homes"
"All in good time!" came back the bark
"It's not simple to make genomes."
First galaxies with brilliant stars
Sprinkle planets and moons as well
We'll start with Earth, Venus and Mars
And then decide where we should dwell
Each one of these has atmospheres
The middle one is rather nice
It's water-based and it appears
Many creatures it would entice
We will have plant and animal
Cycle of life feeds on its own
Searching for food is minimal
When living right and seeds are sown
Keeping balance is essential
Water and Earth must be married
To maximize their potential
Develop beings that are varied
The air, water and also earth
Will provide homes for our creatures
They will enjoy life from their birth
Displaying form and their features
"That's great" I said, "but what of it?
How would they know how great Thou art?
How could they know they should love it?
One animal must stand apart
"You're right" God said, I'll create Man
Make sure his soul connects with mine
Earth's stewardship will be his plan
Relationship will be divine
I've one last thing before we rest
There's nothing worse than being alone
For Man to do his very best
We'll take a rib to make a clone
What could go wrong in this garden?
Lovely couple to tend the crops
Could we ask more from our Eden?
Seeing it now brings me teardrops
