Thank you for reading.
This is a Emphasis Poem. An Emphasis Poem iis one in which the title and last line contradict. The body of the poem supports first the title, then the final word.
The format is:
two stanzas of four lines each, five syllables per line, followed by a single word. Rhyme scheme is abcb defe and the final word, the 'stand-alone word, doesn't rhyme with either the title or any of the final words of a line.
I created the poem type for this contest and hope to be able to use it again in the future. I'd love to see some of your poems in the Emphasis style! :)
Forgive me, serious poets. I really DON'T know what I'm doing.
Blessings, all.
