My Life

by Lance S. Loria

As I finish my seventieth year,
Time to look inward without fear.
This ole life has been fun,
So far a darn good run.

Age is creeping up on me,
Getting harder to see.
Aches and pains every day,
Tough to move in any way.

Wait, don't get me wrong,
Plenty of good in my song.
Two children that are fine,
Two grandkids that shine.

Twilight years on the lake,
At the pool for summer bake.
Don't forget about me,
Lance's Lake Resort is where I'll be.
