Written In The Stars

Light and Sweet Contest Winner 
In a dusty little bookstore down the street is where we met.
I was reading Shakespeare's romance Romeo and Juliet.
In your hands, there was a novel, a Christie mystery.
When I looked into your soulful eyes, they captivated me.

Somewhere between the front door,
and the used books in the back...
You smiled sweetly, I fell hard
for a stranger, that's a fact.
A conversation started
and the world just went away.
The bookstore with its lofty tomes
just faded into gray.

Now we read together
in our lovely new romance,
that was written in a bookstore,
when we dared to take a chance.
