A lifetime before us.

Sealed with a Kiss

Hand in hand we walked along
the shore of our little lake
hidden from well-traveled paths
 
Sun glowed behind her raven hair
creating a halo of golden luster
my heart echoed with love
 
Squeezing her hand
bending my knee
she with astonished eyes
 
Told her my feelings
held out a ring
said, “Marry me.”
 
She smiled, lifted me gently
kissed my lips tenderly
whispered, “Yes, yes, yes.”
