Angela Merkel decided to go on a trip
to France for a short break.
When she reached the arrivals at Charles de Gaulle
airport in Paris she was stopped
and questioned by a surly immigration officer.
"Nationality?" he asked.
"German," she replied.
"Occupation?"
"No. Just here for a few days."
