I'm waiting for the sun to warm me
Perchance the rushing winds to slow
Anticipating fairer weather
And hoping it might soon be so.

I'm longing for the days to lengthen
To fill the seeing hours with fun
Immerse this world in rainbow colours
And count their pleasures one by one.

I'm reaching out to all the others
The many hidden in the gloom
Awaiting patient in the distance
To join me joyous in this room.
