a hundred word story
Angels
by Bill Schott
Bill thought of his days in childhood and remembered those moments when his siblings and he were in the zone and loving life.
Sometimes, all that was wrong with a dysfunctional family faded to a blur and the pure joy of being a kid came beaming through.
Today, looking to the living room, he saw grandchildren having a moment as they chirped and giggled while decorating the front door.
The giddy joy pierced his gloomy soul and renewed him. He was with them in their abandon, rejuvenated from light that shone through these beautiful children and into his grateful heart.
