with what is happening with
the neighbors, and you've got
complex combinations interacting,
making a complete mess of
my present life.

I care what the neighbors think,
just as I cared what my mother thought
when I was a little kid.

What can I do?
how can I work on this
so that it doesn't bother me anymore
what people think?

Good question,
with not an easy answer.

At least now I am aware that there
is more going on
then just the present--or the past.
They appear to intersect,
and I need to learn more before
a resolution can connect.

Once the connection's made,
I'll be able to turn away
those thoughts that have me
hiding in the corner,
hanging my head down in shame.
