THIS PAIN OF LOSS

This pain of loss is hard to bear
When it's those you love
Everyone, has become aware
There's no hand from up above

Divine intervention is not a prevention
As you all kneel in prayer
You never know the Lord's intention
You just hope he is aware

Of all the heartache and despair
In this storm cloud that seems to cover
Some wonder, does he really care?
If you lose your spouse or lover

Blind faith will really test you now
To those who are so devout
To those who had made a solemn vow
Now cast a shadow of doubt

Never in OUR lifetime here
Have we witnessed such an event
History will make it pretty clear
It's something we have to prevent

If we are going to see this through
We need more than praying
We need to keep our intentions true
And be open in displaying

Honesty and trust are needed
Throughout our daily life
This pandemic is now well seeded
It's created so much strife

Yes, the pain of loss will grow
I sadly tell the truth
Until it's over, everyone won't know
Only then will we have the proof

Clutching at straws is what we're doing
A vaccine a long way off
Every day now we are pursuing
Everyone who has a cough

No one could have predicted this
No one really saw it coming
Don't think again, we'll be remiss
Into everyone's head we're drumming

There appears to be no discrimination whatsoever who this virus attacks. There have now been fatalities from every demographic every walk of life Heathens athiests christians muslims buddhists no one is immune. This I am sure is a real test of faith and a question of motive.
