“Not on the back porch!”
Growing up, it was Dad’s favorite admonishment.
No food on the back porch. No fighting. No horseplay.
I was seventeen; my siblings’ ages ranged down to one. Privacy in our house was practically nonexistent.
Late one night, I heard noises outside. Straining my eyes out the window, I saw Mom and Dad, uhmmm… all over each other!
I couldn’t resist. Opening the window, I shouted, “Not on the back porch!”
“Not on the back porch!”
