A Lyrical poem...

Spring Rain

by Diana L Crawford

Spring rain arrives as heavy dew
to freshen up the air;
the song birds are so active now,
much food is everywhere.

The tiny budding leaves peek out
from branches once barren;
and blades of grass begin to weave
a carpet for the glen.

Returning is the life hidden
while winter was around;
the iris soon will show purple,
and lilies will abound.
