Shelter In Place!

by Roxanna Andrews

Today we were told to shelter in place,
No more buying toilet paper by the case.

No going to work or to church,
Leaving many in the lurch.

No one to play with, no dinners with friends,
Leaving many at their wits ends.

Kids home from school, what's a parent to do?
They are driving you crazy, your house is a zoo.

Well I found something to help entertain,
Something to help expand the brain.

Draw little pictures, find a fly who's deceased,
Pose him riding a horse or hosting a feast.

Just let your imagination go wild,
Fun and game for every child.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

We have been told by our gov no leaving the house except for essentials, until April 7th. I've been looking for a dead fly ever since I heard the news. ={
