An Acrostic Poem

Simple Pleasures

by June Sargent

Socializing now forbidden
Inconvenience overwhelming
Mounting fears of isolation
Prejudices sometimes rise
Lashing out at perfect strangers
Everyone - just take a breath

Peace is still within our reach
Look at Nature - let her teach us
Even children can be models
Adaptation is their strength
Sharing joy and happiness
Unconditional acceptance
Reminding us of what's important
Embracing simple things in life
Should keep frustration levels down
