I wish we didn’t have Corona Virus
It is changing lots of things for me;
I am improvising with the food chain
Since my fridge is almost em-em-ty.

Help!  I am almost empty!
Help! I need food and drink,
Boss lady's getting grouchy
But not thinner...(wink!)

Freezer has a plethora of weird stuff
Jars of chicken broth I made from scratch,
Box of choc’lates I had deftly hidden,
Fish that someone gave me from their catch.
 
Can’t go anywhere with lots of people
Promised fam that I would stay right here;
When I placed an order for some groceries
I think they said t’would be some time next year.
 
Maybe I should think of raising chickens
That way I at least would have some eggs
Instead of chicken broth and choc’late candy
And a stupid fish on its “last legs.”
