A Quiet Place

by JLR

To be aware of what your eyes do see
it is said, “to be in the present moment.”
For the “present to be,”
one must simply stop and breathe.

Take a break from the grist mill of life
avoid the clatter of noise, toys, mindless
games or silly things.

Much angst can dwell below the surface
when so much stuff begins to annoy us.
Be aware of life’s dares that can easily
destroy the possibilities to simply feel joy.

If you find ardor within a quiet space
you are closer to the art of inner peace;
In the present moment, you will be!

So, the art begins being aware
and thus to avoid the angst of failing
to find the ardor within a quiet space.
