We had a hiding cat once

Frightful Curtains, triolet

by Gail Denham

Once on a loud and stormy night,
I cringed to find the hiding place
of cats who climbed up high in fright.
Once on a loud and stormy night,
when I arrived and saw the sight,
cat-tattered curtains slapped my face.
Once on a loud and stormy night,
I cringed to find the hiding place.

We had a siamese named Professor. Nice cat, I thought, reserved, no trouble. But my sis swears it leaped at her from on top of something once. Hmmm.
