This work has reached the exceptional level
The decline of Newspapers and Journalism in general

A Ridiculous Riddle

It began with a  Roar from The Jungle
The pen is mightier than the sword!
Now, reduced to the clickety-clack of the Grand Word-
Processor – Turned Inquisitor
Tapping in code to the masses
Mostly meant to harass us
Seldom promoting the truth.
XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX XXX
Then, their muckety mucks
With their big bucks
Tiny thoughts
And ideas
Dropped the
Ridiculous
Riddle
Not One 
Jot
Nor One
 Tittle
By its bloodthirsty blade was ignored
Yanked and Pulled - its certified prizes
Until the mighty pen >< became the sword!

Writing Prompt
Write a poem of any type on the decline of the Newspaper in media circles. Can be funny or serious, with a historical dimension perhaps.


I think - sadly, newspapers are just a sign of what is in store for all media - if we don't find the answer to this ridiculous riddle - and soon!
