Solution to my Problems

by Aaqib Naeem

I am the problem and the very solution
I wonder when I'll finally pull my life around
I hear your constant nagging it beats noise pollution
I see the man in the mirror fall down to ground
I want to prove you all wrong its part of my resolution
I am the problem and the very solution

I pretend everything's fine in the middle of a crisis
I feel like I can make way too many choices
I touch sanity's door just to be sure
I worry my ambitions are no longer pure
I cry as tears are anger's substitution
I am the problem and the very solution

I understand it's me who has to take lead
I say trying is better than letting my heart bleed
I dream of a world built on our love
I try to be ever thankful to the God above

I hope recent drama plays a role in my evolution; for...
I am the problem and the very solution!

'I Am' Poem Contest contest entry

Recognized

Author Notes:

If you read/sing this one out loud, you might notice the underlying rap theme! Or so I hope :-)
The 1st stanza has a different rhyme scheme than the other two! Also, the first two words of every line have been written in bold to make the reader aware of the requirements of this particular contest!

The poem is a representation of the conversations inside my head that relate directly to my current life situation! That situation has made me realise that I could have done somethings a lot better if I had tried. I had stopped working on myself as a person and that has caused so much harm to my ambitions. But if I were to bring my best side forward then I could face most of my issues head on!

It is also about how I cannot depend on anyone else other than myself to turn my life around!
