Short poem

Spring dance

by judester

"C'mon, Dad," Spring playfully pleads,
he checks he has the things he needs.
Keys, watch, gloves and hat,
she ruffles his hair in a good bye pat.

She dances in sunlight, finally free
budding branches sway peacefully.
Blue rivers ripple as they return
from icy confines of their winter sojourn.

Her mother Summer waves her goodbye
sewing a dress blue as the sky.
At June's reveal, she'll be styling in bliss
She counts the days until her solstice.
