Personification of an Emotion

Sweet Lovey, Dear

Dear Lovey, she came by today,
in fact she moved right in.
She didn't take me by surprise,
it took nine months, and then...

She brought a bundle in her arms
and gave it right to me.
Dear Lovey knew I'd cherish him
and love him faithfully.

He charmed me with his button nose,
his blue-eyed infant stare.
He captured me with charming ways
and wispy baby hair.

So, if you need a visitor
who brings a joyful heart,
I'd recommend Sweet, Lovey Dear,
she brings a Grandma's heart.
