A Duo-Rhyme poem...

Without You

by Diana L Crawford

Why did you have to go away?
I begged with all my heart you'd stay.
My nights are spent now crying tears,
remembering all the wasted years.
You never understood my fears;
your words burned like a fire that sears.
My mind's so clogged; it never clears.
My youth now gone as aging nears.
You leave me to grow old and gray
without someone to love each day.

This is my humble attempt at a new form for me thanks to Junes inspiration. It is a challenge for the Potlatch club; and even though I am not part of the club, I wanted to try it. Thank you for reading! xoxo
