An Acrostic- Loop Poem

When Love Was Taken

When love was taken, loneliness found its home
Home once filled with life now barren of emotion
Emotion that shaped every day to perfect night
Night that shone with stars now vacant of light

Light that showed a path for two to travel on
On towards a future now lost in endless void
Void so dark, so deep, I struggled to emerge
Emerge I did, Faith showing time back when

When love was taken one door was left ajar
Ajar, inviting time to heal a grieving soul
Soul  to learn forgiveness for future times

Times for sorrow to be carried with acceptance
Acceptence of value in the memories and knowledge
Knowledge that life will always hold experience
Experience to find what I have been neglecting
Neglecting life will not erase when love was taken
