When life gets hard some give up
Some Give Up
Some give up when life becomes hard
Some cannot let go of their past
It tears them up deep inside
Their tears can shatter glass.
They don't know when to let go
Or to feel a new joy in their heart.
Instead building walls around their lives
Not allowing healing to start
When is it time to stop the hurt
To release the tortured pain?
When is it time to open their hearts
To let love come once again?
That is a question that rarely gets answered
Because no one counts the time.
It can last for weeks on end
or stay years within their mind.
Seek to help those you can
Open their eyes to love
Show them always that you are there
With answers that come from above.
