Sonnet 9

Roy's Sonnet

by Sugarray77

Shall I compare you to a mountain peak,
whose strength is sure whenever rumbles quake?
Stability, a virtue others seek,
defines your life and pathways that you take.

Or shall I liken you to rivers wide
with deepness never seen, but always there?
Upon whose shoulders others often ride
and nonchalantly laden you with care.

But, I will ever look into your eyes
and tell you I adore who lives within.
I love the man I see and idolize,
my trust in you has never found an end.

In quietness and strength you understand,
just what it means to stand and be a man.
