My friends at FanStory are really terrific,
I've discovered they're also extremely prolific,
I don't think they ever sleep, eat or drink,
They're busy with writing, and must sit and think.

They seem to pull poetry out of thin air,
Delights of love, or a sense of despair;
Praises to God, or a questioning voice,
Or why did they ever make a wrong choice?

The wonders of nature, explored with finesse,
Or memories of wearing that youthful prom dress!
Some friends churn out stories with whimsical flair,
And write them in scores, when they're on a tear.

Then the books -- there are many, with plots well refined,
Jump in the middle, go out of your mind.
Chapter to chapter, the plot will build!
And the scripts should attract the Screen Actors' Guild.

My inbox fills up faster than I can read,
But reviewing, I find, fills a mutual need.
So I plug away, stuff my writer's account,
With FanStory dollars, and watch them mount.

Maybe someday I'll compose my own thrilling book,
Promoting it with a balloon and a hook,
Until then, I'm plodding along bit by bit,
Hoping a story or poem makes a hit.

Many friends who I follow, they follow me too,
It warms my heart to get to know you.
And it sure is a thrill to have six-star reviews,
But when giving them out, we ask ourselves, who?

Sometimes I find a post that attracts me,
But two cents and one point is also what I see.
Yet still, I may go ahead and review,
Because it's creative, deep or true.

The people who organized this site,
Came up with a brilliant idea -- that's right!
I still can't keep up with the rest of y'all,
But nevertheless, I'm having a ball.
